Diaphragmatic Breathing
Core
Get comfortable on your back, knees bent and feet flat, one hand on your chest and one on your belly. Breathe in slowly through your nose and aim the air low, so the hand on your belly rises while the hand on your chest stays quiet. Exhale slowly through your mouth, letting your belly fall back down rather than holding it tight. Most people breathe into their upper chest by habit, so this drill is training the air to go low and wide into your sides and back instead. No particular leg position is needed — just slow, quiet breaths where your belly does the moving.
