Snatch Grip Deadlift

Back

Set your hands in a very wide grip on the bar, roughly where you'd hold it for a snatch, well outside your shoulders. That width drops your hips lower to reach the bar and stretches the pull over a longer range than a standard deadlift, so expect your upper back and traps to work noticeably harder just holding the position. Push the floor away through your heels and midfoot as you stand, keeping the bar brushing your shins and thighs on the way up. Keep your chest up and your shoulder blades pulled together despite the wide grip pulling them apart. Lower the bar back down by hinging at your hips first, letting your knees bend once the bar passes them, and reset your position before the next pull rather than bouncing off the floor.
