Warrior II
Legs
Your feet are wider than shoulder-width apart, one foot pointed straight ahead, the other turned out about 90 degrees. Your hips stay square to the side and your torso stacks directly over your hips. Bend the front knee and lower into a lunge, but keep your hips level — do not let the back hip drop or the front hip sag. Your arms extend out to the sides at shoulder height. Hold this position, breathing deeply. Most people either close their hips too much or let the front knee drift inward. Neither is Warrior II. If your front knee hurts, step your back foot farther back.
