Battle Rope Waves

Shoulders

Hold one rope end in each hand, feet shoulder-width, knees soft, hips low, like the start of a squat. Drive both arms down together and let them rise together, sending a matching wave down each rope at the same time. The snap comes from your shoulders driving down, not your wrists flicking the ends. Keep your core braced and your stance low throughout rather than standing up as you tire -- that's usually the first thing to go. Both ropes should hit the floor at roughly the same height and rhythm; if one side keeps lagging, that shoulder is fading first.
