Cable Front Raise
Shoulders
Stand facing away from a low pulley with the handle in one hand, arm resting in front of your thigh. Keeping your elbow nearly straight and your torso still, raise your arm forward and up to about shoulder height, thumb tilted slightly toward the ceiling. The cable keeps tension on your shoulder for the whole path, including the bottom, which a dumbbell can't do once gravity unloads it near your hip. Lower with the same control you raised it, resisting the pull back down rather than letting the weight stack yank your arm.
