Chair Pose

Legs

The thing that decides whether you're actually working or just hanging out is how deep your knees bend. Stand with feet hip-width apart, then sit your hips back and down as if there's an invisible chair behind you. Your weight stays in your heels, chest upright, shoulders back. Thighs drop toward parallel or beyond, knees tracking over your toes. Your hands can press together in front of your chest or reach overhead. The lower you sink, the harder your legs work. Hold it steady and breathe, resisting the urge to pop back up the moment it gets difficult.
