Hatfield Squat
Legs
Set up in a rack with the bar on your back like a normal back squat, but position yourself close enough to the uprights or safety pins to grip them with both hands as you descend. Those hands take some of your bodyweight off your legs and let you go heavier or deeper than balance alone would allow. Lower under control, using your arms only to steady yourself, not to actively pull yourself down or push yourself up. Your legs should still be doing the lifting — the support just removes the balancing act that normally limits how much weight you can handle. Keep your chest up and drive through your whole foot on the way up.
