Hip Abductor Machine

Legs

This machine exists to isolate your outer hips directly — the muscles that squats and lunges only train indirectly while stabilizing your hips, not as the main mover. Sit with your back against the pad and the outer pads pressed against your knees or outer thighs, feet resting flat. Push your knees apart against the pads, driving the movement from your hips rather than just your legs. Squeeze at the widest point, then let the pads bring your legs back together under control instead of letting the weight stack slam shut. Keep your lower back flat against the pad rather than arching to help push the weight.
