Barbell Pullover

Chest

Lie flat on a bench with just your head and shoulders supported, holding a barbell with a narrow grip straight above your chest. Keeping your arms almost straight with just a slight bend at the elbows, lower the bar back behind your head in an arc until you feel a deep stretch across your chest and the sides of your ribs, then pull it back over your chest along the same arc. Keep your hips low and your core braced rather than letting your lower back arch as the bar swings behind you. This is more of a stretch-and-pull than a heavy press, so lighter weight with a full, controlled arc matters more than loading up the bar.
