Cable Oblique Crunch
Core
Kneel side-on to the cable stack with the rope or handle attachment behind your head, held with both hands. Crunch down and across, bringing your elbow toward the same-side hip rather than straight down — that diagonal path is what shifts the work from your six-pack to your obliques. Keep the cable's pull well overhead so it lengthens through your torso, not just your arms, as you round down. Move through your ribs and waist, not your neck or arms; your hands are just anchoring the weight in place. Control the return back to the start instead of letting the cable pull you upright, since the stretch on the way up is as valuable as the crunch itself.
