EXERCISE · BARBELL

Landmine Twist

CoreBack

Load one end of a barbell into a landmine attachment and hold the other end with both hands out in front of your chest, arms extended. Standing with your feet planted, rotate the bar from one hip to the other by turning through your torso, letting the bar trace a low arc across your body. Your arms stay relatively straight and just carry the bar; the rotation comes from your ribs turning over a stable pelvis, not from your shoulders muscling it side to side. Control the bar on the way down to each hip rather than letting it drop and swing itself back up. Keep your feet grounded through the movement so the force travels through your trunk instead of your hips twisting along with it.
