EXERCISE · DUMBBELL
Dumbbell Push Press
ShouldersChest
Start with dumbbells racked at your shoulders, then dip your knees slightly and drive back up through your legs, using that upward momentum to help launch the weights overhead rather than pressing them with your arms alone. The dip is short and quick, straight down and straight back up, and it should happen right before your arms take over and finish the lockout overhead. Lower the dumbbells back to your shoulders under control after each rep, resetting your dip before the next one. Because your legs help, you can move more weight than a strict shoulder press, but keep your core braced so your back doesn't arch as the weight passes your ears.
