Thread the Needle

BackShoulders

Start on your hands and knees. Slide one arm underneath your body, palm up, threading it across until your shoulder and the side of your head rest on the floor. Your other arm can stay planted for support or reach further overhead to deepen the twist through your upper back. Let your hips stay stacked over your knees rather than sinking back toward your heels — the rotation should come from your upper spine and shoulder, not your hips. Breathe into the stretch across your shoulder blade and the back of your shoulder, and let gravity do the work rather than forcing the reach.
