EXERCISE · DUMBBELL
Weighted V-Up
CoreLegs
Lie flat, arms extended overhead, legs straight. Hold your weight in both hands and lift your torso and legs at the same time, reaching the weight toward your shins as your body folds into a V shape in the air, hips as the only point still near the floor. Lower both halves back down together under control rather than letting your legs drop first. Keep your legs straight throughout rather than bending your knees to make the reach easier -- a bent-knee version is a different exercise. The added weight mostly loads your shoulders as you reach it forward, so let your core do the folding, not your arms doing the pulling.
