Deficit Push-Up
ChestShouldersArms
You'll feel this one from the very first inch, before your chest even gets close to the floor. Set your hands on two blocks or plates a bit wider than shoulder-width, and let your chest sink into the gap between them — that extra drop below hand level is the whole reason to choose this over a regular push-up. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels, core braced so your hips don't sag or pike up. Lower under control until you feel a real stretch across your chest, then press back up to full arm extension without letting your elbows flare straight out to the sides.
