Lateral Shuffle
Legs
Drop into an athletic stance, knees bent, hips back, chest up, feet wider than your hips. Push off your trailing foot and step sideways with your leading foot, then bring your trailing foot back to width rather than letting your feet click together. Stay low the entire time instead of standing up between steps. Keep your weight on the balls of your feet and your steps quick and light rather than long strides — this is about staying balanced and ready to change direction, not covering ground. Lead with one side for a stretch, then switch and lead with the other. Your hips and shoulders should stay square to whatever you're facing, not rotating with your legs.
