Pigeon Pose

Legs

Sit on the floor and cross one leg in front of the other, stacking your front knee, shin, and the outside of your foot. Your back leg extends behind you. Lean forward from your hips. The deeper you fold, the stronger the stretch through your front-side glute and hip. Go slow and don't force it. If your front hip doesn't drop to the floor naturally, sit up taller or slide a block under your hip to prop yourself. Your torso stays square over your hips, no twisting or leaning to one side. Breathe deeply. This pose opens stubborn hips.
