Seated Forward Fold

Back

Sit with your legs extended straight in front of you, feet together. Hinge forward from your hips, leading with your chest rather than rounding your upper back first, and reach toward your feet as far as feels comfortable. Keep a soft bend in your knees if your hamstrings pull your pelvis into a rounded position, a slight bend that lets your back stay long is worth more than straight knees and a curled spine. Let your head and neck relax once you have settled into the fold rather than holding tension there. Breathe and allow the stretch to ease rather than forcing deeper with each breath.
