EXERCISE · WEIGHTED BELT

Weighted L-Sit

Core

Support yourself on parallettes or the floor with your arms straight and your shoulders pressed down away from your ears, then lift your hips so your legs extend out in front of you, parallel to the ground. Once the bodyweight version is solid, a weight clipped to a belt is how you keep loading the same shape rather than changing it. Keep your legs straight and together, toes pointed, and your chest lifted rather than caving forward under the extra load. The weight wants to pull your hips down first, so brace your lower abs to stop your legs drooping as the set goes on. Small drops in leg height matter more here than in the unweighted version — hold the line.
