EXERCISE · BARBELL
Jefferson Squat
LegsBack
Straddle a bar on the floor so it sits between your feet rather than on your back. Stand with one foot in front of the bar and one behind, feet a bit wider than your hips, and grip the bar with one hand in front of your body and one behind, both palms facing you. Squat straight down, keeping your torso upright rather than hinging forward, and stand by driving through both legs evenly even though your feet are staggered. The offset stance loads each side of your body a little differently, which is exactly the point — switch your front and back foot between sets so both sides get equal work over time.
