EXERCISE · DUMBBELL
Reverse Lunge
LegsCore
Stepping back loads down into a leg that's already planted, instead of decelerating your bodyweight onto one still moving forward — that's what makes this easier on your front knee than a forward lunge, worth reaching for if forward lunges bother your knees. Holding a dumbbell in each hand, step one foot back and lower until your back knee is close to the floor and your front thigh is roughly parallel. Push back through your front heel to return to standing. Finish every rep on one leg before switching, and notice if one side needs more effort to balance — that's usually the leg worth training a little extra.
