EXERCISE · KETTLEBELL
Kettlebell Single-Arm Swing
Legs
People wreck this by squatting it — bending the knees deep and lifting the kettlebell with the arm. This is a hip hinge, not a squat: feet shoulder-width, kettlebell a short distance in front of you, hips pushing back as your torso tips forward and the bell swings between your legs. Snap your hips forward hard to send the kettlebell up to about chest height, letting your arm stay loose and along for the ride rather than lifting it. Keep your torso square even though only one arm is working — resist the urge to twist to help it up. Switch arms with control, not a wild toss.
