Kettlebell High Pull

Shoulders

Most people try to pull the kettlebell up with their arm, which turns a hip movement into a shrug. The pull should start from an aggressive hip hinge and extension — swing the bell up using your hips, and let that upward momentum carry it toward your chin, with your elbow leading and staying above your wrist the whole way. Your arm is just steering the bell up the path your hips already created, not doing the lifting itself. Let it drop back down into the next hinge rather than lowering it slowly by hand.
