Kipping Pull-Up
Back
Hang from the bar and start a rhythmic swing through your shoulders and hips, arching your body back slightly then snapping your hips forward as your legs drive down and back. Use that whip of momentum to help pull your chin over the bar, timing your arm pull with the peak of the hip snap rather than trying to muscle up independently of the swing. Your lats and arms still do real work, but the hip drive and shoulder swing carry a lot of the load that a strict pull-up asks your arms to handle alone. Keep the swing controlled rather than wild, since a sloppy kip costs more energy than it saves. Lower back into the hang to reset the rhythm for the next rep.
