Monkey Bar Traverse
Back
Hang from the first bar with an overhand grip and swing your body forward enough to reach the next bar with your leading hand. Let go only once that hand has a solid hold, then bring your trailing hand across to meet it before reaching for the bar after that. Keep your shoulders active rather than hanging dead in the joint between reaches; a slight pull down and back keeps them stable as your bodyweight swings underneath. Use your hips and a small kip of momentum to help cover distance rather than muscling across on your arms alone. Your grip and shoulders take a steady load the whole way across, since you're never fully resting between bars.
