Smith Machine Row
Back
Stand with the bar loaded on a Smith machine set low, hinge forward at your hips until your torso is between parallel and about 45 degrees to the floor, and grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width. Because the bar only moves in a straight vertical track, you can lean harder into the weight without worrying about it drifting off balance. Pull the bar up toward your lower ribs, elbows driving back and together, and squeeze your shoulder blades at the top. Keep your hip angle locked for the whole set; the fixed bar path takes care of balance, but your torso position is still entirely on you.
