Wide-Grip Cable Row
A cable keeps constant tension through the whole movement, unlike a bar you set down between reps. Sit at the machine with your feet braced, knees soft, and take a wide grip on the bar attachment — wider than shoulder width. Hinge slightly forward from your hips to start, then use that as your position for every rep rather than resetting from scratch. Pull the bar toward your lower chest, leading with your elbows and driving them out and back rather than up toward your ears. Keep your torso still; the pull should come from your back, not from rocking backward. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the finish, then let the weight return under control without letting your shoulders round forward as it stretches you back out.
