Lateral Bound

Legs

Push off one leg and launch sideways, landing on the opposite leg with your hips back and your knee soft enough to absorb the impact without collapsing inward. Stick the landing for a beat before you bound back the other way — this is a side-to-side skating motion, not a hop that bounces straight through. Your trailing leg swings behind the landing leg for balance rather than touching down early to help you stop. Keep the bounds travelling out to the side rather than drifting forward, and match the distance you cover on each side.
