Plie Squat
Legs
Your feet are wider than shoulder-width apart and your toes point outward, sometimes at 45 degrees, sometimes almost straight out to the side. That position loads the inner thighs and glutes differently than a regular squat. Bend your knees and lower your hips straight down, keeping your chest upright and your weight in your heels. Your knees should follow your toes — they track over them, not caving inward. Some people can go deep; others hit a limit where their knees start to veer. Go as far as your legs allow, press through your feet, and stand back up. Control the descent as much as the lift.
