EXERCISE · DUMBBELL
Weighted Plie Squat
Legs
Set your feet wider than shoulder-width with your toes turned out more than in a normal squat, and hold a dumbbell vertically with both hands hanging between your legs. That wide, turned-out stance shifts more of the work onto your inner thighs compared with a standard squat. Bend your knees and sit straight down, tracking your knees out over your turned-out toes rather than letting them cave inward. Keep your torso upright rather than hinging forward, and let the dumbbell travel straight down between your legs as you descend. Push through your whole foot to stand, squeezing your inner thighs together as you rise.
