Sandbag Carry
Back
Hug the sandbag against your chest with both arms wrapped around it, or rest it high on one shoulder if you're carrying it that way, and stand tall before you start walking. Because the sand shifts inside the bag with every step, your torso has to keep re-bracing against a load that never settles the way a barbell would — that constant small correction is the point. Take even steps and keep your ribs down rather than leaning back to counter the weight. If you're carrying it on one shoulder, switch sides partway so one half of your back doesn't take the entire load.
