Kettlebell Clean

Back

Hike the kettlebell back between your legs like the start of a swing, then drive your hips forward to send it upward and let your arm stay relaxed as it guides the bell into the rack position against your forearm. The catch is the whole skill here — pull your elbow in and rotate your wrist through so the bell rolls around your hand rather than flipping over and banging into your forearm or wrist. A clean feels almost quiet when it's right; if you hear a slap or feel a sting, your timing on the catch needs adjusting, not more effort in the pull.
