EXERCISE · KETTLEBELL
Kettlebell Clean and Press
Shoulders
This is less a lift than a skill — one smooth motion that takes a kettlebell from the floor or a hang to locked out overhead, and it rewards timing over brute strength. It's what you reach for when you want a shoulder and full-body move that doesn't need a rack or a bar. Clean the bell up close to your body, letting it rotate around your wrist so it lands softly in the rack position at your shoulder, elbow tucked and forearm vertical. From there, press it overhead until your arm is straight and your bicep is near your ear. Keep the whole thing unhurried — a rushed clean turns into a bell crashing into your wrist.
