EXERCISE · KETTLEBELL
Kettlebell Sumo Deadlift
Legs
Before you pull, get the stance right — feet wider than shoulder-width, toes turned out, kettlebell centered between your heels. That wide stance is the whole point: it lets your torso stay more upright than a regular deadlift, so this leans on your legs and hips harder than your lower back. Push your hips back and knees out to reach the handle, chest up, arms straight and relaxed. Drive through your whole foot to stand, squeezing your glutes at the top rather than leaning back to finish. Lower it back down the same path, hips leading the way, and let it settle fully before the next pull.
