Plyo Push-Up

Chest

Set up in a standard push-up position, then push off the floor hard enough that your hands actually leave the ground for a brief moment before you land and immediately absorb the impact by bending your elbows back into the next rep. Land with soft elbows rather than locking them out on contact, letting your arms and chest cushion the catch the way your legs would cushion a jump landing. Keep your core tight through the airborne moment so your hips don't sag or pike while your hands are off the floor. This trains the same explosive pressing power as an explosive push-up, but the true airborne phase adds a catching and shock-absorption demand that keeping your hands down doesn't.
