EXERCISE · DUMBBELL
Weighted Box Step-Over
Legs
Same step-over pattern, but now you're holding a dumbbell in each hand, or one at your chest, while you climb onto the box and step down the other side. The extra load makes the single-leg balance at the top of the step, when your full weight is on the box, noticeably harder to hold steady. Keep the weights close to your body rather than letting them swing out to the sides as you shift your balance. Move at a pace you can control through that top position — this is where an unweighted step-over gets easy and this version doesn't.
