EXERCISE · KETTLEBELL

Kettlebell Upright Row

Shoulders

You should feel this mostly across the top of your shoulders and traps, with a bit of side delt as the bell rises past your ribs. Stand tall holding the kettlebell in front of you with both hands, and pull it straight up close to your body, leading with your elbows so they rise above your wrists. Stop around chest height — going higher just twists your shoulder into an uncomfortable position without adding anything. If you feel it more in the front of your shoulder than across the top, you're probably pulling too high or letting the bell drift away from your body.
