Machine Lateral Raise
Shoulders
The one thing that makes or breaks this movement is where you lead from. Lead with your elbow, not your hand, and keep a slight bend in your arm the whole way — if your hand rises first, your traps take over and your shoulder gets cheated out of the work. Sit tall with your working arm braced against the pad, and raise until your elbow is roughly level with your shoulder. Don't horse the weight up past that point; going higher just shrugs it there. Lower slowly and feel the stretch before starting the next rep on that side.
